The picture you painted With the words that I read my perception is tainted By the life I have lead The beauty of your tale unseen The dreams you weave I’ve not felt From the places I've been And my heart of ice that won't melt I reach to feel your joy And journey to see the sun With happiness I toy But it just will not come Do I stop the quest So I don't once again fail would it be best Rather than follow hopes trail I know the answer I would give If it were you that were asking I'd say get out there and live There’s a sunbeam meant for your basking I’ve tried to find the warmth of the sun but it has eluded me all of my days Always a tear waiting when the day is done In the darkness where the haunting memory lays Then there are the moments I permit you To carry me into the tale of love you weave Within your words I’m swept there too Allowing me a brief chance to.............Believe Hold me for yesterday Kiss me for tomorrow But love me for today. |

I can feel the pain and fear and the fear of pain in this one. Beautiful and heart-wrenching. Don't give up....happiness will be yours. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

This is really soul-stirring. I liked these lines most "Always a tear waiting when the day is done In the darkness where the haunting memory lays" This moved me a lot, thanks for posting this one! regards and take care, sudhir In any moment of decision, The best thing you can do is the right thing, The next-best thing is the wrong thing, And the worst thing you can do is nothing. - Theodore Roosevelt |

I know the answer I would give If it were you that were asking I'd say get out there and live There’s a sunbeam meant for your basking I’ve tried to find the warmth of the sun but it has eluded me all of my days Always a tear waiting when the day is done In the darkness where the haunting memory lays Then there are the moments I permit you To carry me into the tale of love you weave Within your words I’m swept there too Allowing me a brief chance to.............Believe --------------- i just want to kiss you for this one... you have no idea... mirrors again, my SS...we are holding up mirror...I just wish they were'nt always reflections of pain...but i do find quite comfort in knowing...you know. this is EXQUISITE... and one of your finest...as it was written from the deepest place in the heart and soul... thank you for this... I will be responding to your E-mail soon...I have much to say and share. take care, sweet butterfly love ya, jm It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... I'm not sayin That there was nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me And I'm not sayin We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let you get away from me. ~MB20~Leave |

Hi Butterfly! Thats nice and I enjoy reading your poems. It clearly shows the anxiety in stepping on to a relationship. But there's no harm in living with it. I deisre the desire to come true someday but not in the near future. So I'll free my love so that it never binds her to make her choices to the best. Sincerely A_L |

You have blown me away with this one Butterfly, this is excellent. Very moving and haunting . Dare we love again? Indeed that is the question, You have captured the feelings so very well with this. Well done my friend!! Not all those who wander are lost. ~J.R.R. Tolkien |

Our experiences do taint our view of other's words and life itself, don't they? Wonderful poem, Butterflies! Denise |
