On Wing of Butterfly One day a splendid vision came to settle in my eye That I would fly for just one day on wing of butterfly I crept into the garden and I carefully took note Until I found the perfect wing on which I’d like to float The butterfly then nodded as she welcomed her new guest And seemed to understand the quiet meaning of my quest On silver gleams of colored wing in early morning light I lay upon her supple wing as she took off in flight A garden was her paradise, the summer breeze her friend And joyous thrill at every venture neither could pretend From silky leaf to scarlet petal she would pleasure bring And lightly brush the pollen stems against her golden wing I felt the plush and sun-lit warmth upon her velvet gown The comfort of a pillow soft with every up and down A gush of wind then swept her wing to heights without an aim And looking down I saw the troubled earth from which I came She fluttered down in giant swoops and finally came to pose Upon the upturned petals of a fragrant crimson rose She left me there in my despair in emptiness and pain Alone to ponder silently effects of my disdain Sometimes the greatest sights and places you will ever find Are fragrant, lovely, wondrous, velvet journeys through the mind A trip on silken windblown sail, deception would belie To think that I could sail through life on wing of butterfly Elizabeth Santos |

Oh, But Liz, I found that Rose such a wonderful place to live and I thank your butterfly for a love it had to give. Nice thoughts for me... I give it a peachy 4's RE: to RE: yeah, at the time there were 45 pages and this was on p.44 with only two replies, I thought this must be a typo, and then after finding that lovely Rose it just had to go to the top... Plus I knew Martie was always playin in the garden... well look what's happened. WOW... it's a Butterfly. < !signature--> If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name. Liz Absoluty stunning I wish that I could be With you on this ride of fantasy I loved, I liked what I have read But now it's late And I have to go to bed I hope that I will dream Seeing you and your butterfly go by on my midnight screen The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Elizabeth, my friend~ This is lovely, my dear. Your words take wing. You've inspired me (which isn't uncommon) *I love you, lady. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

I wish I could write so fluently about my own fantasies... I haven't learned to do it yet... boy if I ever do I'm sure to become a frequent poster in the Adult Forums. =) Thanks Liz... every word of this one was pure perfection. I loved the way you described the wings... awesome. "Don't let your character get camoflaged with your environment. Find who you are and let it stay in its true colors." --Rachel Joy Scott |
