A friend and I were discussing what we look for in love or in a partner in life and that is what inspired this. This is some of what I look for. I need to be touched with feathery grace And held with feverish intensity I want to see your tender eyes entranced When you secretly glance at me. I wish for our dreams to softly entwine Among the tangles of everyday life And I yearn for honey sweet whispers To melt away each other's strife. I hope for a smile upon your lips Whenever the wind carries my name And I believe that our hearts are combined For our souls seem one and the same. What I need is a love meant forever That flowers upon the angels' skies And I truly know I have such a gift When I become lost in your eyes. *Krista Knutson* "Lonliness is the human condition." *Mark Twain, in the book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"* |

Great poem Krista! I agree with many of the things you said. Beautiful, I hope we all have love of that caliber in our futures. Abrahm Simons "...Watching fate as it flows down the path we have chose" - Trent Reznor, "We're in this Together" |

Wet- I'm glad you have the same feelings. Thanks. Dusk- I too believe we have such loves in our futures. Thank you for your kindness. Marge- Thank you so much. Esp- Thank you also! Janet- I do believe I have found him, although I think he tends to forget some of this stuff sometimes. (but hey, we're all human, aren't we?)And nope, sorry, he's an only child. But I think he's worth cloning... Thanks for your beautiful reply. Femme- And thank you also! To have you reply to my poetry is an honor, as always. denise- Thank you very much! < !signature--> *Krista Knutson* "Lonliness is the human condition." *Mark Twain, in the book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"* [This message has been edited by Alwye (edited 05-04-2000).] |

Krista, that was another beautiful poem. A person can hope for that kind of love, and if they belive strong enough about it, they can get it. Lovely poem. "Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying." Harry Anderson, "Night Court" *Cassandra Roseen* |
