Another life, another place- Through mists o’ time, I see yer face. I ‘ear your laughter, lovely lilt- Wi’ Tartan gay, yer skirt, me kilt. Claymore, dirk, wi’ ‘eady ire- Wi’ in me ‘eart there burns a fire- We Scots mus’ fight to free our lands- On to the gatherin’ o’ the clans. MacDonald, aye! Buchanan, too! MacKenzie, Cameron, and MacHue- Fitzgerald, Campbell, loud names toll- As “the Bruce” doth call the roll. An’ Robert raised ‘is noble ‘ead- An’ cried, “Ye Scots wi’ Wallace bled! To set our noble nation free- An’ ‘oo will go an’ bleed wi’ me”? A roar rose from fi’ thousand throats. We’ll brave the battlements, an’ moats- An’ die like flies midst battle’s toil... To free our cherished Scottish soil! An’ soon the Englishmen would learn- O’ Scottish strength a’ Bannockburn, An’ after death ‘ad ‘ad ‘is way- They ‘ad the De’il ‘imself to pay. Aye, I remember when I came- ‘ome fro’ the battle, called yer name- Yer smiling eyes, mine ‘oly Grail... Ah, come an’ ‘ear the Traveler’s Tale. |

You know, it's GOT to be hard to write something like this with such a heavy accent, that even ME being the grassland hillbilly that I am, can read it with a scottish accent! ROFL This was outstanding work sir! And quite a challenge to read, but worth it nonetheless! Bravo! |
