You’ve seen my morning face
with sleep in the corners of my eyes
and yet you look at me with a smile
to let me know that I’m beautiful.

You’ve seen my waking dreams
with all the colors I can I paint
and yet you gently encourage me
to fly higher than even I can see.

You’ve seen my childish fears
with all their absurd roots
and yet you stand beside me
to hold a light in the darkness.

You’ve seen the depths of my grief
with enough tears to fill a stadium
and yet you hold my head to your chest
to help me squeeze out as many as I can.

You’ve seen the core of who I am
with all the eccentricities I try to hide
and yet you evoke a desire in me
to be everything I am and more.

~I truly enjoyed this read. It's wonderful that you have someone who sees ALL that you are and accepts and loves you for every bit. It's wonderful...you're lucky...and BTW, you write really well...great post.

I enjoyed reading your poetry, it has a lot of truth & it was very well writen. It's just too bad that everyone can't be that way.
You are very luck to have such people who care about you so much.
