I found a bottle on the beach The genie thanked me for his release, And assured me of one free wish. I’ve wanted to go to Hawaii but not by flying. If the plane fell from the sky, I’d end up dying And be human chum for the fish. I never went by boat cause I’m claustrophobic, Besides the sea’s motion makes me sick. So I wished that he build me a road. “No can do - just think of the pilings, the pavement needed and the filings, Let alone all the legal codes.” Well, there’s another thing all men want So I raised my head and said nonchalant. I wish to understand women. What makes them laugh, what makes them cry? And how in the world did they get the “eye”? The genie looked at me as if I was a demon. Finally he said, “that’s quite a chore. So was that a two lane road or four?” |

Thanks for the smile today. Indeed, some things are more impossible than others....  the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
