The Ebbing Tide The morning tide is ebbing. We can follow if we will And cross the bar to seaward, Where we can sail until We tire of the solitude. The whim of wind and wave, So come about to head for home. The memories, we'll save. Then when our days of sailing Have gone where good days go, Remembering these moments Will warm our hearts, I know. The pleasure passes lightly, As the brushing of a feather, But the treasure that we're keeping Is, we did it all together! I like this snippit. I remember many such days like this on lake St. Clair. Thanks for the reminder. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
