“You know, your 1500th post is coming up soon in the corner,” she
remarked casually during a rather long silence.

“Yes, I know.”

“Are you going to do anything special? Because if you are we
should start working on it soon.”

“I have already written the piece for that.” I sneaked a sly look
in her direction looking for a reaction. I wasn’t disappointed.

She looked shocked and a most womanly pout spread across her
face. “You wrote it without me? When? How could you not tell me?”

“You were away on vacation,” I replied absent mindedly.

“Well, I guess you don’t need me anymore.”

I thought she was going to cry.

“Look at me,” I said.

She turned in my direction with a wounded look on her face.

“You are with me always. You are never more than a heartbeat away
from my thoughts. You were here, by my side, all the time.”

A deep blush colored her face. A most breath taking pink.
“That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me,” she
gushed.

Locking my fingers behind my head, I leaned back in the garden
chair and chuckled,”of course, I’m a poet. We say things like
that.”

“Oh you! You are impossible!”

“Yes,” I countered. “We are very much alike.”

I truly think you're on to something....these conversations with your muse are enthralling -- I'll be waiting anxiously for the next one!
