Please Stay Will you stay if I say I love you will you if I hold you while you weep you don’t have to leave in such a hurry won’t you stay and talk til we’re asleep there must be something that I can do to ease the hurt that broke your heart I won’t say I have all the answers or fancy words, I’m not that smart but I will listen carefully my love and hold you tenderly tonight will you stay if I say I love you and lie with me, this feels so right my heart is yours simply for the taking please don’t leave, I love you so these tears you see that fill my eyes are tears that fear that you might go won’t you stay, I beg you darling you are my life, my everything we’ll face this trial together dear and overcome the barbs that sting for this I know without a doubt my life is nothing without your smile here, take my hand and tell me more you are my soul, please stay awhile the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
