Why had she never wed? Our aunt told her story. Speaking gently so we Wouldn't be too sorry. I've had a nice full life And all of you my dears. This happened long ago So please don't waste your tears. Going, gone our summer Once welcomed in with glee. So many promises That were not meant to be. Loving vows unspoken, Summer slipped slowly by, Taking the happy dreams, Dishonored by a lie. A lovely wedding dress Sentenced to be unworn, And the ring he promised My finger to adorn. A lie and another Had torn my world apart. Goodbye to that summer; The one that broke my heart. By Joyce (Originally 9/7/01 [This message has been edited by Joyce Johnson (05-02-2002 03:58 PM).] |

there are 10 million stories in the naked sound.. Am curious to see the first draft though I like this a lot. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

I like this. Sounds like the beginning of a good novel. Leaves the reader wanting more of the story. Deb |
