I wore your coat of down today, the one I haven't given away. It kept me warm for my short trek out to retrieve the mail and back. It's the first snowfall of the year and here to stay, it would appear. Without your arms to keep me warm I used your coat to face the storm. You always did the winter chores that today have taken me outdoors. I'm careful that I do not fall, there is no one to hear my call. I miss you any time of year and often brush away a tear, but when winter was shared by two, it mattered not if the wind blew. Nor ice nor snow could harm us then. I'd like to have those days again. a wistful song of the loss of a special love. You are blessed for even having had it for a little while. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Very touching, Joyce. Those little things like coats and hats and little keepsakes are so precious, aren't they? |
