Softly, softly,
snow flakes fall.
Fluttering,
their lacy flight to earth.
Softly, softly,
a fluttering,
one can only wish
twer Spring,
and butterflies
softly,
heralding sweet Spring.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

hmmm..softly fluttering snow flakes don't sound half bad..it's the other kind that chased me to Florida..spring is already here .. very gentle little piece Ellie

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Should I ever see another snowflake fall, I shall always think of fluttering butterflies.
Lovely poem... as always.
