" I want to be ORIGINAL!!..." i shouted out one day good that I was all alone don't know what folks would say Its annoying and quite vexing to never feel like ' me ' instead i wear each face that passes like a mask for folks to see mimic, mime, and mockery one thosand faces every day why can't I be just ONE, say, like every single face that passes by my place why can't I be ' blessed ' with my face istead of the faces that I see "OH! I could tell you blood curdling stories....but me troat...me troat's gone dry!" |

Interesting poem, that makes one consider who is the real me?? Sometimes fear keeps the mask on. Still if given half a chance the face you meet that is you... would rejoice at being found! Hugs, Deb |

this is such an interesting revelation of truth. All too often we conform to the will of others and"society", few of us dare to be the person we want to be for fear of being different. We fear most that which we do not understand, that which is different. Although it is against a thinking persons nature to follow the crowd, we often do so because it is easier and a less turbulent path the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Solstice, why can't we find our real face? Every time I put on make-up, I am putting on anothe face for someone. I guess when I go bare faced I am being me. How it works for a guy, I have no idea. Some day we will all find ourselves, right? Good luck and great poem, ME |

No other answer, we're just chameleons adapting to surroundings. Interesting viewpoint. Joyce |

I know the feeling. Just before I arrive at work I begin the transformation into the person I think I’m suppose to be. Great write. Melton |
