Squatch was on a holiday,
with Lady Luck and far away.
When the Fairy Destiny
came knocking at my door.

" Ello Sol! And how are you? "
‘ Lonely but well. ‘ I said in truth.
And then I noticed,
Des had brought a box.

" Lonely? Hah! I thought as much,
and so while shopping for such and such
I thought of you, dear Sol,
might I impose?"

‘ Please and Thank you, Destiny,
you know just where you stand with me
kick back and watch TV,
or darn your socks.'

"First, Sol, I wear sandals, goof!
NO socks! " she said, bare toes the proof,
I blushed at her
Then heard the box ‘meow'.

‘ Um, Des? Is that a cat m'dear?'
" No a box. The cat's in there."
Said Des as she lifted up the lid
for me to see.

I looked inside and saw a cat.
A smiling tabby, imagine that.
Not a kitten, no, but one,
With lots of grey.

" Her name is Snowpaw." Said Destine Fae.
" I met her once, while far away,
but now it seems you both
could use a friend. "

‘ Thank you Des! She's a beaut!"
and I nuzzled Snowpaw, cuz she's cute
and I heard the old, sweet, tabby,
start to purr.

" You're welcome, Sol. Now I must go,
I have a busy day, you know,
But I'll be back tomorrow,
SA-MOOCH!" Kissed Des to me.

" The question shouldn't be...'Why are we here?' but rather 'ARE we here? "

Solstice, silly me....I started with the last poem and went backwards. I just love these. Hope she finds the ball of red yarn so she can have her honey next to her. Keep 'em coming....ME
