Three hundred sixty five days gone by,
I can't help wondering if I
Have used them as wisely as I should.
Can most of them go in the column "good"?

So many did not live to see
This first full year of the century.
What have I done to earn my way
Through all of the year, to this last day?

Three hundred sixty five before me spread,
Will I savor each day or waste instead?
Will I pen a single loving phrase
To help another through his days?

I've reached an age when time must be
A limited commodity.
If God chooses another year to give,
Selfless or selfish, how shall I live?

I want to be proud to show my score,
When God calls me though that one way door.
If I live this year the way I should,
Each day can go in the column "good".
