When I was little Christmas was a magic time I got shivers as the decorations started to appear All the silver and gold the reds and greens how they shine Even the special ornaments we made, our mom held dear Sometimes my memories wish the olden days could be now The homemade and passed down meant so much when shared Popcorn and cranberries threaded and wrapped around Pretty lights strung from branches so beautiful I just stood and stared Today we don't put up a tree but don't worry I'm not sad I can still see the trees and lights from years gone by And know how lucky we were and grateful for all we had Memories from olden days if you see a tear its from happiness I cry Happy Holidays, y'all [This message has been edited by Mother_Earth (12-22-2001 11:03 PM).] |

Trillium, thank you. And I love your name! The flower is so tiny and so beautiful and the fragrance out of this world. I only found them once and will never forget. Pilgrimage, thank you. Some memories are easy to live with. |

Christmas memories...smiling at the thoughts. I remember most of all, when I was little, crawling under tree, taking my glasses off--and being lost in a world of fuzzy colored lights and crisp pine. Thanks for envoking that memory. -wordancer |

Thank you, my Butterfly kid. I remember the year all of the nuts for the stockings got burned up. Either we are very neat or very careless. Glad you got back for a visit. Love and hugs, Mom |
