When I was young, I remember summer and drinking Mountain Dew it wasn't red, or hip, or cool most people thought I was a fool and mocked my choice of drink, its true Now I liked back when Coke was IT and I like it even now but I miss that country feel it had as if made from mountain cows ok, maybe that's a bit too much but you know what I really mean I liked it better, way back when when Dew was bottled GREEN ~~so have yourself another can of whatever drink you wish lay off the heavy caffeine though lest you lay flopping like a fish~~ " The question shouldn't be...'Why are we here?' but rather 'ARE we here? " |

Cans have nothing over glass bottles...the cold slippery feel and the anticipated tingle of the beverage... Nope. Cans just don't cut it... Thank you! |

Hehe, very cute and reminiscent poem...although I must say that I'm not a fan of Mountain Dew at all! Hugs, ~Krista Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself. |

hey there Soleil Glad you liked the poem and welcome Sudhir...bottles rule...specially when they used to let you cash them in Moon...you're ' the naughtiest ' and you haven't tried Mt. Dew????...amazing *G* Smit Kit...I drink the decaf stuff.....otherwise I get the jitters *L* and the red stuff tastes like cherry kool aid with bubbles...kinda like that stuff they used to sell at K mart back in the 70's *L* Sol " The question shouldn't be...'Why are we here?' but rather 'ARE we here? This is a clever poem and I really enjoyed it. I'm not a pop drinker, either can or bottle but I used to love cherry coke at the soda fountain! Betty Lou Hebert |

Funny... its nice to find people that have talent and a sence of humor. Keep 'em coming life is like a road: full of pot holes and dead ends. |

ahhh - i just kicked my mt. dew habit - a habit of about... uhmm... let's say thirteen years... a pack a day (six pack of course) and people swore my blood ran green... if anyone thinks it was easy to quit, guess again... I STILL accidentally press the Dew button on the coke machine without even thinking about it... then have to trade with someone else... sigh I do miss it though... cool poem - thanks for the memories, i too think red mountain dew is evil!!!
