Once upon a harvest moon, when Autumn kissed the garden frost, scarlet leaves and golden trees, spread their splendor on the hills. Winds once warm with Summers breath, chill now the Autumns twilight hour. So a patchwork carpet forms of fallen leaves on garden path. Fierce Fall winds then come to sweep their clensing broom upon the path, leaves to earthen garden bower, and so this earth recieves her own. Enrichment for the promised Spring. A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. [This message has been edited by ellie LeJeune (edited 10-27-2001).] |
