Is It Not?

Catching her at the sink
hands trapped in soapy water.
Mine caress from behind
laughing, she can’t get away.
Tis love, is it not?

Busy with honey-do chores
needing help, I call her name.
She answers by being there
always willing to lend a hand.
Tis love, is it not?

Writing away with flurry
asking, “how do you spell?”
She opens huge dictionary
gives me just what I need.
Tis love, is it not?

Message from far away
bringing abject sorrow.
She holds and comforts
her voice soothing, warm.
Tis love, is it not?

Cold at night with shivers
reaching out, sharing warm.
Snuggled together as one
content, happy she is there.
Tis love, is it not?
