The Muse I saw her walking in the sun. Her hair like gold, that's finely spun. I thought her eyes would surely be The color of the western sea, But when we drew abreast, her glance, Like purple pansies, did entrance! We didn't speak, but in the air Were clouds of words, just floating there. All waiting for someone to see They held a world of poetry! Betty Lou Hebert |
