The dove of peace
fluttered from the sky
alighting gently on my shoulder
and bid me pause
speaking softly to me
it whispered to my soul
a song whose melody
brought infinite delight

An olive branch clutched firmly
in the flawless beak
snow white wings brushed
with subtle grace
upon my ear
slide with open heart
into this dream she cooed
your true desire awaits you
with sweet breath there

Do not ask what wills it so
the answer is the night
masked in shadow, unafraid
she yearns for your return
go now, with joyful heart
to the one who sets you free
speak to her of the wonder
of her touch, her warm embrace

Join her now in my garden
lush with the scent of musk
do not fear the depth
of your affection
it serves you well
take this branch
as a token of my good will,
my pledge
I will be with you always
so long as your love is true

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Pegasus,

Wonderful imagery and emotion expressed here in your poem and also I thought that it was quite seductive and romantic in a good way.

Enjoyed reading and God bless.
