So strange was your visit, In anticipation of what is to come, I’ve missed what was already there, No matter your choice of the future spouse, I am eternally in debt of the nights I’ve spent, Thinking of you, and dreaming of waking next to you, We spent many afternoons, holding each other tight, Played with each other and smiled quite often, How happy we were in our little world? For a second more, I wish for us to be one again, Loan me but this choice, and I am forever in your debt, I’ve live the rest of my life on this loan, My fire will burn long after I leave this place, For my words will make us immortal, A legend in our time, giving hope to others out there, Never question the love you have been granted, For the choice is never yours whether to love or not, Give it your all, even your last breath, summon that last ounce, If I held you tighter to my heart, I might have known your beat, Tears no longer visit me, for I’ve lost there respect, Even sympathy has turn the other cheek, leaving me here in the dark, Another chapter in life of lessons learned, But they are not written, but etched in, My wounds will heal, but the scars will forever remain, Fear of death intensifies, accepting your absence in these last moments, You’re no longer waiting for me at the other side, How will I tell God, what wrongs I have done to you? I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |
