I stopped writing poetry
after I wrote ' the Price of Beauty '
thought that I had done enough
of my often mindless rhyming stuff
thought my life was good and right
no more heartaches in the night
as always i was wrong it seems
and after weeks of terrored dreams
after trying just to cope
after finding i had no more hope
i came back to this Pub...so dear
and just like in the song from Cheers
i feel like everybody knows my name
and even though life's not the same
old friends still upon my couch
they don't care even if i slouch
i'm glad that i have come back in
good ole Wikket wrote me again
and got my soul started ...with her smile
i should have known all the while
this place won't ever let me go
i thought i could
but now i know
this place
this pub
is here
for me
and
for
once
i
just
feel
free.

Well garsh....hehehehe  I'm so glad you decided to visit again (and I'm glad I had time to visit too)!  Life gets soooooo busy and ppl just lose touch.  I'm glad you haven't lost your touch, Sol!  And I do hope your computer woes are behind you...it's kind of hard to keep up if you don't have one in your free time!  Welcome back, silly!
