I entered the poem God Has A Plan which was a tribute for my Cousin whose husband died suddenly about a week before Christmas. She died from Heart complications, 20 days later. Her sister is battling Cancer and has only 4 years left. Her 4 years are about up and she requested for me to write a poem for her and read it at her funeral. I was so honored that she asked me to do that. I want to share this poem with you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Laverne was a blessing wrapped into one Taking on the world until the day was done Doing her best through each and every day She cherished life in hardships and play Her mother was special,in Laverne's life Even through times of unbearable strife Tending her mother's needs many years Sharing many times of laughter and tears She loved her entire family so very much As fingertips reach for one final touch Her great-grandson was a blessing to her She passed her heritage in order to enter With Christian faith she soars like an eagle Through God she shines bright and regal Her spirit shines through her loving heart Her gentle touch and love will never part Being her very last testament and final goal God has sent heavenly angels for her soul A beautiful legacy for each and every one From break of day to the evening's setting son "thepassionatepoet" |
