Hi everyone,

This poem I wrote is for Betty Lou (Trillium), my dearest friend and soul sister!

If Only.....

If only I could be with you
To experience nature like you do
As wild turkeys take their feed
From you when winter covers what they need.
Still through your eyes you take me where
Marie Creek runs; where moose graze and stare.

If only I could be with you
To walk through berries oh so blue
While hummingbirds hum many a song
Between maple tree and feeders all day long.
Still through your eyes you take me there
Where scarecrows sport their latest wear.

If only I could be with you
I’d love to wander all day through
Around Coeur D’Alene where you dwell,
Taking in the sounds and the smell.
Still through your eyes you take me where
Deer sniff scent in the air.

If only I could be with you,
Watching to a distant view
Of snow capped peaks; falls retreat,
Snow flakes falling at your feet.
Still through your eyes you take me there
Along the path you tread with care.

If only I could be with you
And rise to see each day anew,
Then watch the setting of the sun
Beside you; wouldn’t that be fun.
Still through your eyes you take me where
I long to live the life you share.

If only.....
