Never Enough Memories~

One would think there'd be enough
memories laid in the heart
But there are just never enough
when a loved one has to depart

I've searched for each and every one
finding that I wish I'd kept near
each and every word you had spoken
while you were here

But though I've got quite a few
it will never be enough
To hold you in my arms again
and that makes it kind of tough

Though I smile at some small remember
of a memory you left in store
They'll never fill the hole in my heart
God, I wish there were more~

this is a wonderfully touching poem. I know this feeling. I have searched every corner of my mind for memories at these times in my life. I just noticed your in memoriam dates. I lost my husband in November (on Thanksgiving day) of 1995. I lost my son in February of 1999. The same years of your great losses. Love you, Joyce

Dear Marge: I share your feelings of never having enough memories. I lost two sisters and my mother in 1992.

Marge~ Hugs to you sweet lady....this was such a lovely and heart-felt poem. No amount of memories would ever be enough, but at least you still smile at the ones you do have...you do their memories a great honour.

yes...I wish so much....the tears flow free, can't stop them today, no matter how hard I try....it is wonderful though, when a little something you forgot comes back as a gentle hello.....it lets you know that they are still with us.....and always will be. Love ya Marge (((Hugs))) I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dear marge; I am so sorry for your losses and I know how the pain never seems to go. I lost my first baby at three months...I cherish the little time I had with her.Love, Ellie

I appreciate each of you coming in with your hugs~
I return them to you with special thoughts and prayers for the losses you've also encountered.

*This weekend I spent with my children and my brother to surround myself in the comfort and love they extend~
