The Dark Beyond

On our boat, I love to sleep.
Floating safe above the deep.
Anchored in some quiet bay,
After sailing through the day.
Often in the night, I lie,
Hearing splashing sounds nearby.
In the dark beyond, I sense
Something moving and immense!

To the deck I'll sometimes go.
Try to see what swims below.
But the darkness hides from view
All the creatures passing through.
Swing of mast and tidal sway,
Drive uneasiness away.
Breezes blowing from the land,
Tell me daybreak is at hand,
So I stay, to see the light
Slay the mystery of the night!

BettyLou~
My friend ... this one took me to the water~
Floating on the word beauty of you~
Ah ... how I long to go boating~
I've always loved the water ... and miss my time of silence in tow~

*Huglets* to you my lady fair~

A long overdue to my Ronnie~
I love you~

I really like this one dear. I can feel the sway of the boat under my feet, taste the salt in the air.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Dear Marge:  Memories of Puget Sound here and sailing to the San Juan Islands. It's been a long time now, since we have sailed anywhere!

Hope you can get out on the water soon and enjoy!

Ronnie sends love back!  Thanks,

Betty Lou

Annie:  Thanks for reading.  I was nervous about the water when we first started sailing but I soon grew to like it!
