i will strive
to live each day with trust

to believe in me
to believe in you
an absolute must

to think positive
to not assume
to start out slow

to learn to give
and not just take
our love will only grow

to help instead of hinder
to ask instead of question
to not just listen but really hear

to want not merely need
again to ask, not just tell
will help to keep you near

thank you for
seeing me with your eyes
instead of mine
