two tortured souls
alone in the night
find each other
it seemed so right

she loving him
with a love so fierce
and herheart
his love did pierce

he loved her
with everything
a joy to him
her love did bring

she found his love
all she ever wanted
so much love she'd never had
so afraid she'd hurt him bad

he found her love
so very needed
please don't hurt me
was what he pleaded

she got frightened
she ran away
afraid to go
afraid to stay

his heart was wounded
but he took her back
always there
he picked up the slack

she never wanted to go
so afraid of the evil within
the hurt she caused
won out in the end

she loves him still
she always will
his pain has been relieved
his new life now complete
