picking up the pieces when love is new and so thrilling promises made and both so willing to compromise and forgive just so that their love can live things are said and love is sweet angry words wer'e quick to sweep because we know that love is real and the angry words we forget to feel mistakes are made, much more than my share dirty laundry gets easier to air as we walk away from the one so dear no room now for the air to clear unwilling to bend hearts get broken leaving pieces so terribly shattered the love we vowed would be forever spoken with pieces scattered and seems never mattered there is no glue to ment this heart no string to tie us and keep us close we both to prideful so we stay apart pick up the pieces, and put them away. she got to him in ways i can't for love can't be bought it's not for sale but seems it can be rented i just can't pick the pieces up he left them in the trash waste management 101 let the pieces crash JoAnne Burt 12/14/2004 (all rights reserved) |

Very expressive!!! Love does go through various stages of growth and/or deterioration as you have expressed so very well here. Sometimes it does take going back to the early days when love was so new and so thrilling and both where so willing to forgive. Your poem spoke to me personally and I do hope that you will be able to one day pick up those broken pieces and glue them together as to make something new and thrilling for your life and for the lives of those you love and for those who love you in return. Good job. -Bob |
