As I sat staring
In quiet contemplation
I heard you ask me
A very simple question

If it was the truth
If you loved me so
Then how is it that

With a saddened smile
Not showing you its cost

Loosing you is a loss

I was loved by one man
Who showed me loves true colors
And taught me to understand

In seperate directions head
And if we fought to stay together
Then one of us would wind up dead

I mean, one of us would be
Nothing more then a shadow
Of who we will become
If we didn't love and let go

Our personalities are to strong
And our minds, they always clash
We both deserve so much better
A love that will last.

So it's because I love you
And want nothing then the best
That I can let you go
To find happiness, nothing less.

You make no sense
So now I will take my leave.
Goodbye dear one...someday
I know you'll finally in my words believe.

With that the door was closed
And a tear escaped my eye
Even though I know its for the best
Another little part of me died

Your time is here. Take one last look at it, then never come back. This part of your life is already over...

It is so painful not to admit how difficult ending a relationship is simply because it has to end. Wishing the relationship would work doesn't make it work and recognizing that takes a lot of courage and personal strength.
