Awakening she sits in the dark so unsure and so afraid secrets, dark, unremembered, coming awake as she dreams, fighting so hard to keep herself only to give in to someone else. he lays in the dark so unsure and so afraid her secrets dark and horrid he watches as she dreams being pushed away as she fights so hard to keep herself. both awake in the light of morning neither knowing what to say, she afraid of horrid truths he of being pushed away silence so deep, movements wary loving turned to pain, cutting and scary. we are doomed he says she trying not to believe neither knowing exactly what is wrong can't fix if i don't know she says he trying not to hurt pain turning to doubt and tears love doomed to weeks not years JoAnne Burt 10/03 (all rights reserved) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
