It happened while grousing by the wine-sea, Or whale-road, whatever names you give it. This dog had brought them to parallel me, Black coats smelling of winter, closely knit Dark yarn. I wore my glance-shirker outfit. I like to think its here that he just Allowed that membranous tissue to split While attempting to hug some earthly rust. My own hands and glance dig away from dog-fumed crust. |

I'm ashamed that I don't quite grasp the meaning of your poetry. Very interesting and I am sure that you very consciously meant not to reveal all. Joyce |

sorry if it was abstract, i've since then altered it: It happened while grousing by the wine-sea, Or whale-road, whatever names you give it. This dog had brought them to parallel me, Black coats smelling of winter, closely knit. I wore my glance-shirker outfit. [I like to think its here that he just Allowed that membranous tissue to split While attempting to hug some earthly rust.] My own hands dug away from dog-fumed crust. even as they, with sand-swept smiles, offered me stranger’s trust. this mini-glossary might help: Wine-sea: I think is a quote (from memory) from book 5 of the odyssey Whale-road is also a snatched expression from a troll-written book I believe. Glance-shirker: avoiding glances Membranous tissue: referring to hands as “my own” later confirms. This is a reference to Odysseus finally reaching land after swimming, and grasping it with his hands. Embracing the earth, the opposite of me, avoiding to look at humans/bodily substances. Crust refers here to skin, or outer-layers on the people walking the dog. |

Thanks. I knew the rationale was there, but couldn't extract it from memory. Very well written. Joyce |
