Never Expressed

(The muse tis the same. She was a friend that I never got to tell I felt deeper feelings, and still feel, for. She loves another man now.)

~ ~ ~ ~

Love for you, never expressed.
Weeks and months, deeply depressed.
I desire to speak to you, but I do fear.
Even worse news, without peer.

I fear you'll announce engagement to this man.
It will burn through my heart like a red hot brand.
I can resent your lover, but I feel base.
As though the Sistine Chapel I did deface.

I hope time will find you in my arms.
But for now, for him, belong your charms.
My love for you remains known yet unsaid.
I write these poems to clear my head.

I don't know, should I tell you?
Will this mean our friendship is through?

this is beautiful.. as always it is for her....
the only advice i can say is let your heart lead you on what you tell her.
let your heart lead and force your head to follow....... she might have some idea that you like her (its a female thing) and might not be sure about it, you will never know because you never tried. dont regret not taking this chance for the rest of your life
always remember 'you will never recieve anything if you never ask for it' and to remember you friendship, that can be worth more than anything to people wjo know what they have infront of them.

This was soo.. beautifully written, and i coud feel every word. Amazing write.
