Aptitude the hole is dark smells of decay, death so very deep, selfish. Absolutely nothing just bare dirt, blackness at the bottom, broken. eyes drawn upward struggle to feet, unsteady faint light above, maybe? kicking against fate suddenly a rock, tumbles tool grasped, salvation? digging footsteps forever slowly climbing, clinging hope blooms, falling. digging starts again over then over, over again struggling upward, falling back. the hole is deep smells of sweat, faith deep, dark, defeatable. Absolutely everything just bare dirt, climbing ...know... can... do this. ~~~~~~ |

Daniel, Sounds very much like a place many of us have encountered at times in our lives. Struggling so hard to get out of the dark hole, but somehow managing to climb out. In your poems, you seem to draw out many feelings we all experience. Very good write! Love, Patricia 'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go. |

You know baby, one of these days that dark hole is either gonna trap us where we can't get out or I am gonna find a way to fill that hole so we can't go down there anymore. You know that I don't like the dark smelly places that hide those monsters and scary things. I only like the dark when the lights go out. Love you in the hole or out Annie |
