Elysian Fields This lovely day is one to press in my big book of rememberness. I did not set alarm to ring. I planned ahead for not one thing. Wakened by song from unknown throat, I reveled in each exquisite note. Plucking ripe peach from off the tree I tasted of its succulentcy. Silenced TV and ignored phone, I delighted in my all alone. Webster needs new words to say the sereneness of this peaceful day. So if I have made up a few, I gave myself permission to. Dining on chocolate and herbal tea, today I've been so good to me. Good for you Joyce! Once in awhile we need to pamper ourselves without any outside disturbances. That's exactly what I did today. We are worth it, don't you think? Love, Patricia 'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go. |

Thanks for sharing this delightful poem. It's a nice reminder that if we don't take care of ourselves, we're not much good to others. Blessings, Barb |
