Through all the years, I still think of you My dreams, they are still about you My mind wages war with my heart You’ve become a memory, at least it’s a start A song, a phrase, a certain smell Can trigger such reactions in this hell I know that I am only mortal man And these feet tread upon a shaky land We sat on the hill, watching the sun go down The joy was just having you around Thousands of hours go by like nothing happened The strength of your face held in my head lessened But after the hatred and confusion dims I wonder if you’re really happy with him I think that maybe you think of me still Because I know, I always will Though my feelings were so strong then, There were others before, since, and will again I try not to compare them to you It is simply all that I can do Now I’m left a little stronger and wise To view the world with not so innocent eyes I’d like to spend some time again with you talking, Through the familiar paths while walking Reminisce for a while, then say goodbye; This time forever, as you vanish from my eye |

The heart never forgets, even with the passing years. Having only loved once, I wonder if I will ever experience that feeling again. I can relate to your poem, for the words went straight to my heart. Love, Patricia 'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go. |
