Radiant cascading colors, always changing,
as the luminous sun reflects against a waterfall.
A tear falls one moment, then a smile
crosses my face, as memories pieced together
form a patchwork of dreams while I sleep.

At times I am running in slow-motion,
only to find I haven't moved at all.
A soft gentle embrace, yet no face I can see,
sensing this person holds my heart,
leaving me breathless and filled with glee.

Hidden deep within the confines of my mind
lurking in shadows, a shrouded phantom.
Afraid one moment until the scene changes,
then delighted by faeries whose magical tune,
forms a patchwork of dreams while I sleep.
