Exposed at Last? Eyes turned down, shoulders as well weight of generations so heavy to bear reality of programing, forced into line crushed innocence, never shared. Hiding in corners, tears choked down no comforting words for a child to hear beaten then silenced, huddled in fear terrified to utter the slightest sound. Covering bruises for church and school no one must ever, even guess or believe. Within becomes the only refuge, or safety inner one is strong, defiant, never bleeds. Child within prayed the torment would end watching the shadows of darkness descend. Many years passed, yet the cry can be heard Silently trapped in the depths of the soul. Tears echo within protective emptiness tortured body left behind, outside, divided. Still the wounds fester, separation haunting seeking solace, trusting no one, finding God. He was there all along, but I could not see the depth of His love or the tear in His eye. A brilliant light chased the darkness away as He cradled my heart with tender caress. ~~~~~ all righteee then... this is a "duet", a collaboration between the Trampster & PatAngel. We thought our styles and similar experiences might produce something of significance if we wrote together and here it is! We wrote a stanza, then sent to the other... who then added- back and forth til we were fairly satisfied it was complete. We are curious what everyone will think of it... |

A great duet indeed !! I enjoyed reading this and never guessed it was written by the two of you until I read the footnote. wow !!! this is a triumph and with a very sad painful feel, ultimately ending in the warmth of finding your peace. Lovely. well done to both of you and god bless you both. Hugs from June x |

Dear June, Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Tramp Poet and I decided to try something a little different in which we both could share the sad experiences we've been through, and how our hope and faith became strong in spite of them. May you be richly blessed for your kindness. Thank you again! Love, Patricia 'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go. |

thanks June! re-reading for the hundredth time...lol Annie couldn't distinguish between mine and Pat's...wow indeed. i am so blessed to be able to write with Pat! Seems we share a voice for the ones who feel they have no voice...hoping these mutual words will allow others to face and express and eventually share...and in so doing be healed. His love, daniel |

What a wonderful collaboration. So sad though that your creativity comes out of such pain. Very brave of you both. Love, Joyce |

It is very well done ... I don't think I would have guessed two people wrote it either. I'm glad you found each other and both found a faith that's comforting to you BWA |
