Differences I sat upon the seashore sandy, And ate a piece of chocolate candy, Then built a castle gleaming white Next to the ocean beaming bright. Starfish gathered at my feet. A seahorse came and took a seat. I gathered oyster and clam shells And noticed all the water smells. They’re Different from the ones on land. I sat awhile and then I planned To tell a story to the creatures To let them know how life features Diversity that lives apart Joined within a common heart. Every creature took a stand, A few of them gave a hand. Known am I by a different name Yet, just like you, I am the same. |
