Winged Tyrant She's won her right to privacy. She made me sign a pact that she could build her nest by the front door. I will not fight her any more. But now I must remember to use other door when wanting through. I've hung a sign on the front knob, "Use other door when outdoor job is taking you from in the house and be as quiet a mouse." All well and good, I've trained myself to put my needs upon the shelf. Until her babes are hatched and gone I'll keep myself to the back lawn. But Susie sees it other ways. She's used that door all of her days. She won't concede to any bird. "Dumbest idea she's ever heard." To pact with bird, dog won't agree. Only discommoded one is me. By: Joyce 6/12/04 |

Dear Joyce: Sometimes we are slaves to our pets! Really cute poem and I can imagine you will be glad when those birds are grown and gone. Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |
