ALIVE The wind roaring and biting is a perverse kind of pleasure Out here on the moor as I walk through the heather Her assertive spirit whips my breath away And I laugh at her in a mocking way I am truly alive on days like these Not for me a soft summer breeze Wilderness beckons like a sister calling Alone and free on a cold winter morning Feet dipped in purple I stand on this moor At last I am home in this moment so pure Liberty washes clean my soul I am at peace and my being is whole |

Dear June: It must be wonderful to walk on the moors. Something I'm sure I would enjoy too. Your poem brings them alive for me. Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

June, The title "Alive" is perfect for this poem. That's exactly how it made me feel while I was reading it. Thank you for sharing! Patricia 'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go. |
