The Clean House “Where will I start? Where shall I begin?” Said Mrs. McGee with a sparkly-eyed grin. “I think I’ll tidy just this room.” So she did all the dishes and took out her broom. She swept the floor and decided to scrub The bathroom toilet, sink and the tub. “Well, that not all,” she said with a shrug. She wiped up the floor then vacuumed the rug. All of a sudden my mind starts to roam. So I sat right down and wrote out this poem. I envied her style in a vision of green. That’s the cleanest house I’ve ever seen. I’m not cleaning house, you might as well know it. I ain’t got no time; I’m bein’ a poet. Barb Gedman |

How very cute. And I agree, some things are more important than a spotless house. Too bad we can't do it all. Love, Joyce |

This is adorable, Barb! Can you send Mrs. McGee over to my house when she's done?! |

Thanks for reading and all of your great comments. I tried to send Mrs. McGee over to your houses but she is now too busy. She is writing poetry. Love, Barb |

Dear Barb It is a delight to read your poems. So we all here in PiP appreciate you putting your chores aside to share your poetry with us. Mrs. McGee would agree. Love Isobel |

Barb, you made me laugh! It's so funny,I used to be such an organized clean-freak. Everything in its place, etc. Now it's either work, dinner, movie or computer.I never really ever wanted a computer since I knew that it would be an addiction which would steal time away from other things I should be doing.Oh well, instead of vacuuming the rug,I'm enjoying your poetry! An inch of debris, but golly, you're a good writer! Street Heart If a man has not discovered something he is willing to die for,his life is not worth living. |
