I have autumn leaves
that I saved from the past
between pages of memory
so they will last

Orange, brown,
silver and gold,
fallen so long ago
let it be told

Summers of yesterday
pressed in my mind,
some were of sadness,
some were of kind

I see all the new leaves
and know quite for sure,
they soon will be pressed
in my memories pure

What a wonderful way to preserve memories! I hadn't thought of doing something like that. Your poem is inspiring me. Thank you for sharing.
