So are the wounds of Winter,
barren and deep,
from the betrayal of Autumns
unfaithful leaving.

In Earth's sorrow
the tears of April weep,
as her mourning nears it's end.
Each tear falls upon her wounds,
to renew and replenish.

So does the broken heart betrayed
come full circle into beauty.

For only the rending of the Soul,
and the mourning of the dark hour,
shedding tears upon these wounds,
bring Grace and Spring
upon the Earth,
and courage to the heart.

New life and wonder
deep
and everlasting.
