Somewhere there must be a paradise,
far away from this troubled world,
this world of pain and bitter strife,
and hate of men for other men,

somewhere there must be rolling fields,
of vibrant green and pastel hues,
to lay this tired and weary head upon,
to doze in tranquil solitude,

somewhere the air is still and fresh,
and wildflowers hum a melody,
in perfect time to beating heart,
and sighs of weeping willow trees,

somewhere a dear one waits for me,
neath asure skies and pure white clouds,
and beckons with a graceful hand,
to be as one in nature’s breast,

somewhere, sometime, I will find this place,
this place that haunts my waking dreams,
this special place that fills my mind,
and puts my aching soul to rest.
