Hannah's Confusion

Our Hannah's three now, you can bet
She's growing up too fast.
Mama and her grandmas wish
The innocence could last.

She's going now to nursery school
Taught by a Christian teacher.
Story of the Crucifixion,
Confused and didn't reach her.

She came home and told her mama,
I'm sure God laughed at what she said,
With sad brown eyes and solemn words,
"The Easter Bunny's dead!"

Dear Marge,  Thank you.  This really did happen and just goes to show how with the best of intentions we can confuse a three year old.  This is such a sad week before Easter, so I think God probably needs a laugh too.  Love, Joyce

Dear Joyce:

How adorable of Hannah! I hope she was reassured that the Easter Bunny lives!

Oh I am so sure her mama did reassure her.   She says she is going to give her "Binky" to the Easter bunny.  I hope so. ( Her passifier that she is still hanging on to.)

Thanks Mazrge and Nightshade.  She will be here along with her cousins to hunt eggs tomorrow so we'll try to get this sorted out for her.  Happy Easter to everyone.  Love, Joyce
