Ask not heart for such treachery we grieve, for it was such a dark night as this to love, that love did approach thee and did deceive; for your eyes were searching for love above. In the distance I did see her fast approach, as she was dunned in her darkest attire, and such a stranger to this encroach, but thou were in search for too fair a desire. For as our lives to each other did pass, and our eyes casually did exchange a glance, I knew it were love that approached at last, but it were too late for a loving romance. It is such a dreadful mistake as this, that love had finally, to us pass by; that time would have my lips left unkissed, and your plee failing to merit a reply. But worry not my unrequited heart, for upon the night she shall come again, and next time we shall not let her depart, leaving 'neath our breast this dreadful sin!
