as thou art to beauty;
together they grow to bud,
by the loving sun's decree

My druming heart doth nourish,
beauty by way of tears from sky,
as thou doth compete for loving wish,
and the lustful desires of thine eye.

Tis thy heated passion from thy heart,
that doth yields greater beauty;
that thy rose doth dutifully impart,
and love's own eye doth see.

And if it were true of thy love;
that thou art more loving yet,
then thy passion doth reign above,
and thy heart shall not soon forget!
