The Little Cloud

The little cloud bounced high above.
He caught the sunshine’s eye.
He changed his shape and then
He danced around the sky.

He tumbled and he raced about,
Laughed and spilled some rain.
He blocked the sun from shining down,
And blocked the sun again.

Now, the sun was getting angry.
His temper was quite hot.
He had to stop and think,
“This cloud is just a tot.”

But then one day
The cloud grew large.
He rode the sky in black.
Thunder roared, lightning flashed-
The sun hid farther back.

The storm kept right on raging.
It rampaged through the night.
Then in a cloudless sky
The sun reigned proud and bright.

The little cloud had vanished.
Another took his place.
The annoyance of the sun
Showed brightly on his face.

Into life some sunshine,
Into life some rain,
Without these mighty heroes,
Into life, no gain.

Dear Barb:

This is a cute poem and also points out some of the uncertainties of life! I think clouds are fascinating, even the dark ones!

This is just wonderful~
Oh, how I enjoy the clouds ... and often think of them as little talkie things~

Dear Barb

I liked this poem very much.  Betty Lou took the words right out of my mouth.  I also too think that this poem can be related to the rigours of life.
